Last Week At Brickies: Brickenstein

By | October 31st, 2016|Whats On|

Brickenstein During the October half-term we had an extra special spooky Halloween theme at our Wokingham Play Centre. En route to the annual Monster Ball in Bricksylvania the Eerie Express mysteriously derailed and left hundreds of misguided monsters roaming the streets of Brick City. Dr. Brickenstein, Head of the Brickies Dark Arts division, had a plan to round up the monster mess, and it was down to our budding builders to provide the Doc and his team with a suitably-scary super-speedy vehicle so they could head to Brick City as quickly as possible. Once there our brave builders helped round up the monsters with their own creepy creations, and then it was time to head to the haunted house for a night of Halloween fun at the Monster Ball. We've loved seeing all the amazing creations built over the last seven days, both in our Wokingham Play Centre and out and about at our half-term events. Check out this small selection of some of our favourites... Join us next week at our Wokingham Play Centre for another brand new Brickies building challenge, and be the first to build all the new themes by signing up for our weekly clubs. Camping Chaos This week at our Wokingham Play Centre our junior builders headed off to Yellow Brick Country Park where there was a mystery that needed solving. Campers had been hearing strange noises in the night, and new reports that Big Foot had been spotted were keeping the tourists away. Zoinks! Our brave builders went in undercover in their own camper van. Once there, the plan was to build a bigger, scarier monster to frighten off anything that might be lurking in the shadows. The plan worked and more tourists than ever started making their way to Yellow Brick Country Park, and our team provided a much need bigger camp site for them all. Check out this small selection of the amazing creations produced this week... Join us next week at our Wokingham Play Centre for another brand new Brickies building challenge, and be the first to build all the new themes by signing up for our weekly clubs. Brickies weekly clubs are much more than just playing with LEGO, they are an experience that fuel imagination and drive creativity whilst offering an opportunity for children to build social relationships with other like-minded children. Arkham Asylum Breakout This week at our Wokingham Play Centre we went back to the Batcave for a super-fun superhero challenge. When Bruce Wayne decided to take a well deserved holiday our budding builders stood in for Batman to help Batgirl keep the streets of Gotham safe. After the Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Gorilla Grodd and many more crafty criminals escaped from Arkham Asylum, it was time to send up the Bat-Signal, don the Batsuit, assemble a brilliant Batmobile, and round up the rogues. Here are just a small selection of the amazing creations produced this week... Brickiemon This week at our Wokingham Play Centre we caught up with the famous explorer Sir Brickaby Jones. He's discovered all kinds of oddities on his many travels, but never had he encountered creatures like this! Sir Brickaby needed help to catch a Brickimon, so it was a good job our brilliant builders were on hand with a Brickieball or two. They then built and trained their own custom Brickiemon, before heading to the battle arena for an epic showdown. The Great Race Our second theme this week saw our budding builders take part in a wacky race against teams from all over the LEGO universe. After assembling an awesome vehicle they set off across the Bricklantic Ocean and around the world. It was a close race but our team triumphed on the finishing line and took home the trophy. Join us next week at our Wokingham Play Centre for more LEGO building fun. Find out more and book your sessions here.

Before they could do that though they built their own droids to get the Death Star plans safely to the Rebel Alliance, then put together some super starfighters to take to the skies. As you can see, the force was with them... There's a brand new Brickies challenge at our Wokingham Play Centre this Bank Holiday Weekend.
