Workshop Timings: 2:30pm – 4:30pm
A Brickies Movie Maker workshop is an unforgettable LEGO experience. Over the course of the two hour workshop we reveal the secrets behind the magic of stop-motion movies. We provide all the equipment and materials needed; tablets, backdrops, minifigures, props and, of course, thousands of LEGO bricks to build with.
During the workshop we will be covering the following points:
Introduction to Stop Motion Animation, what is it and how is it created?
Storyboarding – Discuss initial ideas and how to create a story
Planning the movie set build
Building the movie set and any props that are needed
Creating characters for the story and what role they will play
How to take photos using the iPad and movie making app
Direction on how to make small and smooth movements to create the best movie possible
At the end of the workshop the creations will be played back on the big screen for all to see, and then we’ll upload them to our YouTube Channel so they can be shared at home.
Please note that we have a minimum age requirement of 8 years + for this workshop.
