Join us for our Home Education LEGO Session on Thursday, 10th October at 10am, as we celebrate World Space Week with the theme “Space & Climate Change.” What role will the Brickies team play in the fight against climate change from space? During the session, we’ll explore how space technology is helping us understand and manage Earth’s climate, highlighting the crucial role space exploration plays in protecting our planet. Our building challenges will be linked to this important theme. Embark on a creative journey as we design and construct a space exploration vehicle and build an observation satellite or space station to support climate research, all with LEGO.
We start our session with a short visual presentation that our experienced facilitator will deliver to the group. The presentation will provide an introduction to the topic along with learning objectives that we aim to achieve during the session. The children will be set with a short planning task that will help the when it comes to the building challenges of the session. We have split the learning objectives into KS1 and KS2 to ensure that we are challenging the children in relevance to their age and knowledge.
This Home Education Session is aimed at children aged 5 – 11 years old. We appreciate that you may have younger children with you who may want to join in with the activities. If you have a child aged 4 or under, you can purchase our Home Education: Early Years Play Session ticket.
We advise that you purchase your ticket in advance to avoid any disappointment on the day.
