Brickies LEGO Alternative Provision Sessions

For our Alternative Provision LEGO sessions we offer an in-school programme to schools in Berkshire and surrounding areas to Wokingham, where we are based. We tailor a solution to fit around the needs of the school and attending children.

Sessions typically run for 45 minutes to an hour and we can deliver them either one-on-one or in small groups of up to four children.

You can book these sessions as a one-off or in blocks of six weeks.

Therapeutic LEGO Play

We tailor our LEGO Alternative Provision sessions to suit the needs of the child or group. For example we can come in and deliver a playful respite activity or we can deliver a programme that is linked to a topic that children find hard to connect with in class. Our learning through play approach allows us to explore topics such as Maths and Literacy with hands-on LEGO activities. We can also create a programme that links in with personalised targets in areas like communication and socialisation.

We aim to create a calm, safe and playful environment that empowers children to tackle learning in a different way.

Group Sizes and Pricing

We can deliver our Alternative Provision sessions as a one to one or in small groups of up to four children. If a school has the demand for more than four students to attend or would like to have smaller groups then we often deliver back to back sessions. These could be broken down into 30 or 45 minute sessions and scheduled to fit within the school timetable.

To deliver the sessions we require a small break out space that has a table, either outside a classroom or in a learning space. We bring all the equipment with us and there is no need to supply anything.

All our Alternative Provision Facilitators have years of experience working with children and can provide an Enhanced DBS certificate and photo ID on arrival to the school. We have all the necessary insurances and risk assessments in place to carry out these activities safely.

    Alternative Provision Sessions FAQs

    We advise that we have no more than four children on our Alternative Provision sessions. If you have more children interested we can run multiple sessions, it would be most cost effective to run these on the same day. The minimum is one child.

    Our Alternative Provision LEGO sessions are usually between 30 – 45 minutes long per child / group.

    Yes, you can book a one-off trial session to see if the child or children you have in mind will engage in the LEGO activities before committing to a six week programme.

    We charge either for a one-off session or a block booking of six weeks. We will raise an invoice and this will be sent to the school, payment is due once the Alternative Provisions start. If you decide to book an on-going programme we can either invoice in six week blocks or monthly.

    Our LEGO Alternative Provision activities are designed with flexibility in mind so that we can tailor the content to each child. We understand that all children are different and engage in various ways. We will adapt our programme quickly to ensure each child gets the most out of the sessions.

    We are based in Wokingham, Berkshire and will travel within Berkshire and surrounding areas close to our base.
